Values
He aha te mea nui o te ao?
He tangata, he tangata, he tangata
What is the most important thing on earth?
It is people, people, people.
- We value people’s physical, mental and spiritual well-being
- We value recreation and learning
- We value integrity and unity
- We value Iwi relationships
- We value cultural diversity
- We value people
We are a health-care business. We chose this path because we love to help others, it comes naturally to us. We are in it for the right reasons and love what we do. People – you, and your well-being are at the very core of what we do – it is what we are about, it defines us. We value the relationships we have in our community and endeavour to contribute positively and support the people of our community and the environment in which we live.
“Do unto others, as you would want done unto yourself – Pay it forward”
Naku te rourou nau te rourouka ora ai te iwi.
With your basket and my basket the people will live.
- Through co-operation and the combination of resources we will achieve.
We know our business flourishes or fades because of our customers – our business is focused on what our customers needs are and is adaptable to meet those needs. Our passion for what we do combined with our innovative team ensures we can tailor-make solutions to solve the most challenging problems. We do what we say we are going to do. We are self-motivated, we look for opportunities, then make them happen. We all muck in.
“Some people want it to happen. Others say it will happen. We make it happen.”
Whaia te iti kahurangi ki te tuohu koe me he maunga teitei.
Seek the treasure you value most dearly;
if you bow your head, let it be to a lofty mountain.
- Aim high for what is truly valuable. Be persistent and don’t let obstacles stop you from reaching your goal.
Individually and as a business we want to evolve and grow. We enjoy our wins and take positive learnings from our losses, then move forward. We stake our personal and professional reputations on the excellence and quality of our work. We recognise and repeat success aggressively. We actively seek out and provide constructive criticism. We are eager to teach and share what we know with others.
“World class in our Community – Continuous Improvement, Constant Betterment, Pursue Excellence.”
Te amorangi ki mua, te hapai o ki muri
The leader at the front and the workers behind the scenes
- This is a reference to Marae protocol where the speakers are at the front of the meeting house and the workers are at the back making sure everything is prepared and that the guests are well looked after. It is important to note that both jobs are equally important, and are like the ying and yang, for without one, everything would fail.
Everyday we want to achieve the best possible outcomes for all of our clients. We are a group of strong and diverse individuals, unified by this clear common purpose. We take ownership of our roles and are accountable and responsible for our actions. We operate a flat organisational structure, from the Receptionist to the MD, each a representative of equal importance. We get stuck in when and where we see a need and don’t need to be asked – for the the greater good.
“Team focused, Team players, We are one. Follow the spearhead.”
