Improved posture, well-balanced muscles, a strong core and increased strength and flexibility … these are just some of the ways that Pilates will improve your life.
Pilates originated by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s as a way to improve muscular imbalance, core strength, breathing capacity and organ function. These core principles remain to this day.
Body In Motion is the largest group Pilates provider in the greater Tauranga region, offering more than 50 weekly classes across three studio locations – Pyes Pa, Mount Maunganui and Bethlehem. With so many classes to choose from there is something for everyone – beginners, athletes, seniors, prenatal mums, and even kids.
With one-on-one instruction, we help you learn the basic Pilates principles so that you can move with greater precision and control, improve body awareness and get the most from this neuromuscular strength training programme.
Regular Pilates sessions will help you to:
- Build core strength
- Improve coordination, precision and control
- Improve posture
- Boost general fitness and wellbeing
- Improve balance, strength and flexibility
- Recover from and prevent injuries
- Relax, relieve stress and focus.
